As Tarranum began a new venture as an independent broadcaster, she came to Jooska for design and logo development and help with digital positioning.
The team at Jooska leaned heavily on colour theory and symbolism to convey the ideas Tarranum wanted to reach her listeners. Colours like gold/saffron evoked joy. We included purple as a nod to creativity, with pink accents that resonated culturally and represented both women and happiness. We purposely created a broken circle in the form of a mug imprint as a nod to the name and to convey the idea of breaking boundaries–that Tarranum was stepping into to act as a fresh perspective, to have the conversations that were sometimes difficult but still deserved representation and validation.
Tarannum launched Chai With T as a platform for fascinating conversations with insightful people. Today, Chai With T has grown into a bi-weekly podcast that engages celebrities, trailblazers, and intellectuals from Vancouver’s diverse South Asian community.
